Hey Queens!

How are you guys? With so many things going on in the world and so much media that we are being exposed to, good and bad it can be a lot overwhelming; therefore I make sure I reserve time for self care and not just on Sundays lol I’m just sayin. I always feel better- trust me when I tell you it works. I’m the girl that wears her best outfits no matter what the occasion is, I put makeup on, I do my nails and feet allat because I enjoy looking good and feeling my best at all times. Nobody wants to pass a mirror and not have a proper selfie moment okayyy hahah. I know you guys enjoyed 8 ways to instantly look cute at home so I wanted to help you queens out a bit more by providing a few tutorials; this time to really teach you Queens how it’s done. Now let’s get into it.

The first thing you shouldn’t worry about is?? DING DING DING lol you guessed it- your hair. I saw a comment this week that someone shared with their followers and it said Wrapqueens have wraps in all flavors and patterns to go with any outfit you can possibly think of in your closet; and I honestly smiled because that’s exactly what I wanted for you girls. With so many headwrap styles that we have in stock you are bound to find your fave. By wearing a headwrap no one knows what’s going on underneath, you could literally have a deep conditioner in your hair and no one will know. A headwrap will have you looking amaze in no time -plus it gives you a mini facelift hehe. Here’s a cute way to style it.

My fave thing to do when I feel like my face needs a bit of a pick me up is a mask. I used to own tons of masks from the beauty supply stores and high end stores but I realized that nothing worked better than my aloe vera mask which is super cheap; like $2 cheap #Winning. I swear if you try this DIY mask for a week your face will thank you. You can also invest in the plant which is more potent. All you have to do is spread the aloe vera gel, leaves and all, onto the skin of your face, neck, and décolleté. Let the mask dry for fifteen minutes. Rinse your face, first with lukewarm water, and then with cool water to tighten pores. You can also try the mask overnight for maximum results. Aloe has tons of benefits but I use it for moisturizing and adding a glow to my skin. It can be used to prevent wrinkles, acne and flaky skin.

Okay so I bet you’re like okay I got my headwrap on and my skin is poppin “Cardi B voice” now what? Well it’s time to add a lil makeup. Makeup for me is pretty much accentuating what I already have, do I need it to slay? Noooo- but does it boost my confidence and allows me to be creative? Yess!! so therefore I spend the extra time to do it. Back in the days women wore corsets under dresses everyday and mannn I dunno if I could have done that, the way I like to eat smh. But a lil makeup yes! I found this video here which gives you a breakdown on what to do. We got time so I don’t want to hear it lol.

So now that we know how to do our makeup lets move onto nails shall we? Nails are just so feminine and girly I love it. It’s okay if youre not into adding faux nails, just grooming your natural nails and taking care of your cuticles and filing them is enough. But for my ladies who love acrylics etc well let me just say I never thought I would love press ons as much as I do- but I’m honestly in love. Yes, they don’t last as long as going to the nail salon, but it’s a really good substitute when you need to look good for an event and can’t get to go to the salon- or you just feel like trying a new color outside your comfort zone but not wanting to commit. Well I found this really good tutorial and everything can be found at “Dollar Tree” yeap. I’m trying this nail look like yesterday okayy- I’m so excited.

Lastly, let’s talk about them toesies. I’m not even gonna lie lol I was scared of doing this myself. Funny thing is when I was a teenager I did my feet all the time it was fun for me, but now we are all so used to going to get our biweekly pedicure that some of us forgot how to care for our feet. But listen here -we are women and we can do it all okay. I literally just tried doing everything I saw my nail lady do; and let me tell you my pedicure was fire okay. I made sure I used my white toe polish- which I think looks bomb on all skin tones, and I’ve gotten compliments by random ppl asking me if my nail salon opened back up- yeap- I did that!! hahah.

Step 1. First, soak your feet in warm water and soap for 10-15 mins, and cleanse them with a foot scrub and pumice stone. You can use a foot spa, plastic basin, bucket, or your tub. {I used my tub}

Step 2 . Clip and file your toenails, and tend to your cuticles. Please don’t cut your nails too short you can also file them for that square shaped look. Line your nail file up to the edge of your toenail, and gently rub it back and forth to create your shape. Angle your nail file at the corners of your nail to round them, or file them straight across, based on your personal preference.

Step 3. Apply cuticle softener. Use a cuticle softening balm or oil serum will help remove the dead skin. If you don’t have a cuticle softener try using honey, that works too. Press the cuticle back with a cuticle tool or small nail file. At this point you can either use a cuticle trimmer to cut off the cuticles after you push them back or just let it be.

Step 4. Apply your fave lotion or foot cream and massage your feet, my fave part.

Step 5. Place your toes inside of toe separators so it’s easy to paint them. Toe separators are pieces of plastic or foam that fit in between each of your toes. They space out your toes, so your polish will not spread as you paint them.

Step 6. Paint your base coat and let it dry completely. A base coat helps the polish adhere to your nail. It also creates a barrier, protecting your nails from the chemicals in the nail polish. Then you can use 2-3 coats of your fave nail polish to paint your nails followed by a top coat for that extra shine. You could use a quick dry or a a regular clear polish.

There you have it Queens, I’m pretty sure just by doing these few things your self esteem/ confidence will be to the roof, you will look so put together and on a budget.
